Welcome to one thousand faces — a project to document the faces of Melbourne in 2007. Faces tell us a great deal about ourselves. Our expressions tell whether we are happy or sad. Anxious or relaxed. Connected or alone.

The soldier above was collecting for Legacy on the day I started this project. Community service and looking our for others is one face of Melbourne. I will be interested to find how many others I find.

Over the next 12 months, I will be adding new faces to this site. If you would like to be part of this project, please contact me. In any case, I'd love it if you come back regularly. I'll be setting up a visitors' book, and of course, navigation buttons so you can get to all the other faces.
